James is a former secretary of the Donogh O’Malley Cumann in UCC. He was the youngest member of Enniscorthy Town Council when elected in 2009 on the first count. He subsequently topped the poll and was elected on the first count in the 2014 County Council elections gaining almost 2000 votes. He is a former Vice-Chair of Enniscorthy Town council and a former Vice President of the AMAI. He currently sits on the HSE Forum South, is the Enniscorthy representative on the AILG and Wexford County Council’s representative on IPB.

A draper who owned a shop in the interface area of the Duncairn Gardens in north Belfast, Carson was elected to Belfast City Council in 1973.[1] The following year he was elected as a member of the United Ulster Unionist Coalition as Member of Parliament for Belfast North from 1974. However, he was de-selected in 1979 after voting in favour of the Labour government in the crucial vote of confidence which they lost.
