Councillor John Barry was elected to North Down District Council for Holywood in 2014. In fact he had already been a councillor for two years, having been co-opted to replace Steven Agnew, when the latter took up his post as MLA. John, a long-standing member of the party, is also Professor of Green Political Economy in Queen’s University Belfast.
