Peter has an exceptional record as an effective and dynamic public representative in Cavan since first being elected by the people to Cavan County Council in 1999. Married to Susan, he has three children and three grandchildren. As a haulier and warehouse owner in business since 1988 and employing thirteen full time staff, he has an acute knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in running a successful business. He is aware of the significant role which tourism plays in Cavan and is actively taking steps to further develop tourism to boost the local economy. He is a skilled negotiator with an impressive track record.
Damien is a strong voice for the people of Cavan-Belturbet on Cavan County Council. Nobody works harder than Sinn Fein for the people of Ireland and Damien is by no means an exception to this. He is one of the hardest working Councillors in the country and delivers for the people of Cavan.

OReilly first stood as a Sinn Féin candidate for Fermanagh District Council in 1997 and was first elected in 2001. He was re-elected in 2005 and 2011. At the 2003 Northern Ireland Assembly election, he was elected in Fermanagh and South Tyrone, although he chose to stand down at the 2007 election. In 2014 O’Reilly was elected onto the new Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. O’Reilly was chosen by the members of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to be the first Chairperson of the new Council.
